Ashly Gillis PT, DPT, ATC

Ashly breathes sport.

Specializing in injury prevention and return-to-sport protocols, she has a profound passion to maximize the performance of athletes.  Ashly holds a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.

An active resident of Truckee, Ashly previously worked for six years with an amazing team of specialists at Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy. She was instrumental in developing the current ACL post-op protocols and in leading the ACL rehabilitation classes.  She has worked with both individuals and teams, including collegiate teams across varied sports. 

She has decided to rethink performance by starting her own independent clinic. In this way, she is free to meet the needs of athletes of all ages.

Career Highlights

  • 17 years experience coaching soccer for high schools and club teams

  • Currently coaching U19 + U14 girls soccer for Truckee River United FC (TRU FC)

  • Director of the girls academy for TRU FC

  • Movement Specialist for TOVO Academy Barcelona, Spain and USA summer residencies

  • Worked with college NCAA women’s basketball and track and field teams as an Athletic Trainer

Meet Nugget

PT Assistant & Top Dog

Nugget is the most genuinely excited member of Athlete’s Edge. She has been working as a therapy dog since she was 6 months old. Nugget has her Canine Good Citizen Certificate and is a registered member of the PAT (Pet Assisted Therapy) Program through the Humane Society. She loves to eat, earn treats and most importantly sleep.
